Hello everyone, hope we are all keeping well?
Finally looks like the weather is changing for the better as it’s been so sunny and warm which can only mean one thing it’s CAMPING time again. After a brilliant group camp last month we have booked a troop camp the first time for some two years and soon we are off for an adventure not too far as we have so many young scouts who haven’t camped prior to group camp (don’t want to put them off) and hopefully they will be wanting to go more often, maybe a couple more before the cold comes back… ssh don’t tell the wife, it can be our secret.
Plans are laid and preparations underway for the return of the much loved carnival being done to the theme of the most wonderful, amazing woman of our time, it’s the decades of the Queen and we have the 90s (if I can remember that far back) the scouts just say ‘eh what, what’s that, that’s wayyy before my time!’
The date is June 11th, keep the day free and come along for a fun filled day, dig out your pennies, please see some amazing floats but most of all lots of little and not so little people having fun. In the evening there’s food, drink, things for little people to do and great live music so we can all get our dancing shoes on, clear our throats and sing along with them while we party and help the scouts heading to WSJ 23 and Project 23 raise funds for their adventures.
Right I’ll keep it short and sweet, hopefully see you all at the carnaval, come say hi if you wish, we don’t bite and any wild scouts will be kept caged safe and sound!
All the best from all of King Troop
