Many thanks to everybody who helped plan, took part, attended and helped clear up after this year’s carnival weekend – a fantastic weekend filled with family fun – just what was needed after the last couple of years that we have missed.
The plans for next year’s will be starting soon, if there is anyone who has an urge to get involved please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Keep an eye out for the details of the Christmas Fayre on the 3rd December (I know it’s early but don’t want you to miss out) another chance to join us for some seasonal fun, a chance to buy some gifts, sing carols and meet Santa and his elves!
Great to see our two Scout troops off for summer camp this year, both heading West for what I am sure will be a great time away for all the young people involved. King troop off for a weekend in Dorset with Everett doing a week away nearby, again in Dorset.
Thanks to all the leaders who have again put in a huge amount of effort with their sections, as the summer term comes to an end I am sure it will be time to reflect on the fantastic events you have put together which your young people have thoroughly enjoyed. Then time to do it all again in September…
Huge congratulations to Derek Boulton who celebrated a special birthday in June, it was great that family and friends were able to celebrate with him a couple of weeks ago- not quite sure he is over the shock yet…
Well done to all of the scouts heading off to the WSJ/ Hampshire Scouts European adventure, they are now nearing the halfway point in their fundraising quest! A huge feat and one that I know that are immensely grateful for your support on. They have a few events coming up, keep an eye out for details.
