Scouts are part of a worldwide family that is millions strong. Opportunities to go abroad, experience other cultures and meet other Scouts are some of the best skills for life the Scouts offers. Some of our members are lucky enough to be going abroad in the future and they need your help to get them there.
We are delighted to share the exciting news that four of our Scouts have been awarded places on the next Scout World Jamboree held in South Korea (joining 3240 UK Scouts and 144 Hampshire Scouts). Seven more are joining Hampshire’s Project 23, a European road trip, with both expeditions taking place in Summer 2023.
World Scout Jamboree 2023
The 25th World Scout Jamboree is to be held SaeManGeum in Korea. The theme for the 25th World Scout Jamboree is ‘Draw Your Dream’ and the UK Contingent theme is ‘Think big. Dream wild. Act together’ and was developed by the Youth Shaped Team.
The Scouts are more than just travel buddies, they are planners, fundraisers, motivators and mentors, with a lot to achieve in a short time as we leap to the challenge as ‘Think big. Dream wild. Act together’. This theme speaks to the new adventures, cultures, and friendships that will be shared by Scouts from around the world during the 12-day event in Korea.
Heading to the Jamboree to meet thousands of other Scouts is a real honour, but will mark a huge fundraising effort to reach. Help us in our Crowdfunding campaign here.
Project 23
A three-week Scout expedition across Europe for over 200 Scouts from Hampshire, taking place in July 2023. As a Youth Shaped organisation, the Scouts are involved in planning and developing the direction of their adventure. We are excited to see how the adventure develops over the next 18 months.
